The Honest Baobab is a line of affordable skin care and personal care products, which strives to provide natural, sustainable and hand-crafted products made with, where possible, organic and fair-trade ingredients. THB hopes to support local and regional farmers and producers to guarantee an honest and authentic end product.

We provide a line of oil-based skin care: oil is a bacteria-unfriendly environment, which means that we do not need to add synthetic preservatives in our products to keep them safe and healthy for you. We make sure that our packaging will prevent bacteria from coming into contact with the product, and we add some wonderful natural Vitamin E or Rosemary extract to our products.

Founder
Alex is a Franco-Venezuelan who fell in love with South Africa, and has always been passionate about sustainable living and natural products. She worked in a climbing centre café in England where sustainability and natural living were major elements. She studied Public Health, which is why she attaches great importance to evidence-based health and wellbeing.
Alna
Founder
Alna has always had a green hand and an artistic eye, and is thoroughly enjoying having retired from her law practice and dedicating more time to The Honest Baobab. She discovered the wonders of essential oils through the books of Valerie Ann Worwood, and decided to take oil-based skin care into her own hands.
